Find the dress with the right colors, but it is showing its age? I can replace old heavy sleeves with mesh, rework narrow shoulders to fit your stature, restyle the collar or cuffs, or customize bling. We can work together to get the final dress to be the perfect fit and style for you.

Find a dress you love, but the fit just isn’t quite right? It’s hard when you like the colors, but know that it won’t dance right. Many designers put in room for let out and let down, I can help a loved dress grow with your dancer. Let me take a dress from close enough to just right.

Can’t decide what your solo dress should look like, but tired of the leotard and skirt look? We can work together to design a blackout dress with personality and shine, but not the solo price tag.
Mactír Team Costume Alterations
The Mactír team costumes made by Prime Dress Design have a built in let down and let out of about four inches, which is fantastic for those growing dancers. The vests also have let out and let down at the shoulders. I have altered vests, Signature, and Fancy team costumes.

Jen is a lifelong sewist with a background in historical costuming and custom sewing projects with a wide variety of materials and styles. She started making clothing in 4-H and tailoring her own clothes. Jen is also a proud Irish Dance Mom for over a decade. Her dancer is a recently promoted OC competitor in the CLRG system. A rapidly growing dancer required her to master the tailoring of team costumes and solo dresses alike. Jen has worked primarily with dancers from Mactír Academy of Irish Dance in Minneapolis, but has also fitted dancers at several schools across the Twin Cities. She has also endeavored into the crafting of custom solo costumes in an affordable price range between simple blackout and full solo.
